Introducing Flume 2.0 and Flume Pro!
We’ve been fairly quiet for the last months, but we can finally share some good news with you…
If you recall, 6 months ago we wrote about the future of Flume after Instagram announced changes to their third-party developer platform. We’re happy to announce that our upcoming Flume 2.0 update will keep bringing a beautiful and massively better Instagram experience to your Mac. How so?
Upload support!

Upload photos and videos directly from Finder, or drag-and-drop them right onto Flume. With support for video poster frames, square-cropping, tagged locations and captions, you’ll never need to transfer your high resolution photos back to your smartphone again! That’s cool, what else?
Instagram Direct!

Keep in touch with friends, family, customers, fans with complete support for Instagram Direct, available exclusively in Flume 2.0! Share media, profiles, hashtags, or upload media directly into a conversation.
Curated Recommendations

Overwhelmed and unsure who to follow? Flume 2.0 makes it easy, with curated recommendations for you to explore.
What else is new?
There are countless more improvements: refined notification preferences, reduced memory usage, and the usual bug fixes. Which brings us to our last (but not least point).
Flume is now free!
To bring Flume into the hands of even more Mac users, we’ve decided to make Flume 2.0 a free update, and a free download for new users. If you’re scratching your head as to how we’re supporting development, it’s time to introduce you to…
Flume Pro
To support continued development of Flume (and believe us, we have plenty of new features and additions lined-up), Flume Pro entitles you to upload as much as you want, as well as add as many accounts as you like - perfect for businesses and individuals who share many accounts. If you’re unsure whether you’d like to upgrade, no problem! Everyone gets to try uploading a few times before we ask that you upgrade (which you can choose to ignore). Due to confusion and misinterpretation that allowing you to test the upload capabilities before purchasing was a “ninja” update, we have removed the “trial” in the Flume 2.1 update.
Last words…
Flume 2.0 wouldn’t have existed if it wasn’t for the countless emails, tweets, reviews and feedback we received. It was clear that Flume going away was not an option. So thank you to everyone that purchased Flume 1.0, gave us an App Store Review, helped beta test, translated or told a friend / family. Thanks to your support, Flume lives on! 💪
We’re really excited to bring Flume 2.0 into the hands of you all. As of writing, Flume 2.0 is awaiting approval from Apple - follow our Twitter account to know when it becomes available on the Mac App Store. We hope you’ll enjoy Flume 2.0 as much as we do.
UPDATE: Flume 2.0 is now available for download!
